Eric Bischoff Thinks Dave Meltzer Needs "Writing Lessons" From Ex-WCW Star?!
Ex-WCW, TNA and WWE man Bischoff never misses the chance to torch Meltzer on his podcast.
Eric Bischoff never misses a chance to take a dig at Dave Meltzer on his '83 Weeks' podcast.
Recently, the ex-WCW chief analysed comments made by The Wrestling Observer head about Bill Goldberg's run in 1999. At one point, it was suggested that former MMA man Tank Abbott was only being brought into WCW as a sacrificial lamb for Goldberg.
That's when the Bisch randomly went to town on Meltzer.
Eric's co-host read out a particularly lengthy paragraph, and that prompted some negative feedback from Bischoff. He revealed that Tank had actually been in touch to fire over a copy of his new book, and that Eric had started reading the first few chapters.
Then, clearly keen to stick the boot in a little more, Bischoff said that maybe Abbott could give Meltzer some "writing lessons" in the future. Ouch.
This is a recurring theme for Eric on '83 Weeks'. He dislikes Dave's reporting style, and thinks his writing is riddled with incorrect claims and rumours. Meanwhile, he says, Tank's book is actually a refreshingly well-written piece that he's enjoying.
Abbot probably didn't think he'd be used for a dig at Dave Meltzer when he posted that copy.
