WWE were given first-hand customer feedback from those that hadn't left in protest following the instantly divisive Hell In A Cell main event between Seth Rollins and The Fiend.

The contest was thrown out after 17:30 when the referee deemed Seth's intention to attack Bray Wyatt with a sledgehammer too violent for a battle that had already featured him targeting attacks on the challenger's head with a steel chair, ladder and a toolbox. Wyatt rebounded with a Mandible Claw and Sister Abigail on the Universal Champion to end the show, but the chorus of boos that had intensified from the moment the bell rang continued long after the event went off the air.

The immediate online response didn't make particularly happy reading for the company, with heavy criticism levelled at the company for multiple aspects of an illogical and ill-fitting finish.

Those in attendance took to Twitter to share live footage of the scene:

Credit too to Matt Jackson from AEW, who (sort of) responded to the chants with a timely reminder that Dynamite will be back again on Wednesday for anybody looking for the alternative.

Friday's SmackDown Draft could see The Fiend and Seth separated by brands, but the company still have Monday Night Raw to get through before then.
