Gallows & Anderson Sign For Impact
Set for Slammiversary debut.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have officially signed with Impact Wrestling, the pair announced via a livestream last night.
The Good Brothers were participating in a YouTube session when Gallows said that recent rumours were on the mark, and that the duo would be alighting in the Impact Zone come the company's big Slammiversary event this weekend. He also said that both had been tested and cleared for action.
The news was later confirmed by Impact's official Twitter account, in a video which showed the two "free and ready to rock." Towards the end, it cut away to Gallows and Anderson stood within an Impact ring, promising they would be live on PPV tonight.
Gallows and Anderson were released back in April as part of WWE's extensive cost-cutting measures ostensibly in the fact of the global health crisis. This past week marks the expiration of their mandatory three month no-compete clause, meaning they are free to work elsewhere. It's currently unknown whether their Impact contracts will prevent them from working for New Japan Pro Wrestling once travel restrictions are lifted.
Impact has teased that other ex-stars released by WWE earlier this year will appear at Slammiversary tonight. The show's main event currently has a mystery slot open. Watch this space.
