Leading independent group Game Changer Wrestling was showered in controversy on Wednesday, as promoter Brett Lauderdale was accused of ordering fake COVID-19 test results in order to keep his business going at the height of the pandemic.

The allegations came from FIST Wrestling's Mikey Gordon, who also goes by 'Dirty' Ron McDonald. Twitter user @DoxxxyStocksy compiled posts made by Gordon in a Facebook group including a handful of purported direct message screenshots in which Lauderdale is portrayed to be seeking COVID tests for specific names:-

Beyond these accusations, Gordon took aim at GCW for how much it pays its talent, then used Mike Gevorgian and Atticus Cogar's disappearance from the company as part of his argument.

Lauderdale issued the following statement to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp:-

Elsewhere, a slew of current GCW talent have spoken out to refute the allegations, including Jordan Oliver, Tony Deppen, and Joey Janela, who had been singled out in Gordon's original post:-

Janela, Oliver, and Deppen all came armed with screenshots that appear to show evidence of GCW's testing processes. They are far from the only people to speak out on the matter, either.

That Lauderdale and GCW's lawyers are now involved suggests this situation is far from over.
