Bill Goldberg last wrestled for WWE at SummerSlam 2019, where he recovered from his concussion-induced Super ShowDown disaster with The Undertaker with a thumping squash victory over Dolph Ziggler, whom the legend bested in a shade under two minutes.

The bout was preceded and followed by reports that WWE wanted to keep using Goldberg as a John Wayne-esque bad*ss old man figure who shows up whenever somebody needs to take a pasting and according to the man himself in a new interview with SI.com, we haven't seen the last of this.

Goldberg confirmed that the Ziggler bout was "by no means my farewell performance," stating that "it's a very good possibility I'll be back, but you don't know it until it's done," and that he "has to be realistic and take all things into consideration."

On top of this, Bill was full of praise for Dolph. "I am greatly appreciative of what he did for me and for his professionalism," he said. "I can't say 'thank you' enough."

It remains to be seen when, exactly, Goldberg might show up in WWE again, though the Ziggler squash was loads of fun.
