Dolph Ziggler has revealed that he once p*ssed off almost the entire WWE locker room shortly after making his debut.

On Corey Graves' podcast 'After The Bell', Dolph said that he wasn't arrogant, cocky or anything of the sort, but ended up annoying many behind the scenes because he also wasn't super-confident. Backstage, Ziggler found it hard to walk up to guys he's grown up watching, say hello and introduce himself.

As the summary line says, this could be where his 2008 gimmick, "Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler" came from. It'd make sense for WWE's writers to rib the fact that he was pretty shy around the rest of the roster.

This sort of thing isn't as uncommon as some fans might think; Batista admitted during his WWE 24 episode last summer that shyness actually held him back a bit too when he first made it to the company. People thought big Dave was full of himself and believed he was too good to shake hands.

Dolph had the same issues. Not for nothing, but that's probably because archaic traditions like the wrestler handshake cycle when one gets to the building are complete nonsense.
