Evolution is backed by science; a theory honed and shaped by research, findings and facts. It's in essence the story of all humanity, complex only in its grandiosity rather than rationale. Like David and Goliath and Baby Boomers Vs Millennials, Vince McMahon's got the details the wrong way around - but then within his bubble, evolution remains the most complicated of all the procedural regularities.

Within wrestling, it is both a necessary requirement and a latent luxury. The industry cannot survive without talent underneath waiting to take the spots of those above, but it evidentially benefits from those that jump the queue to superstardom on their own terms. Without stars willing to take spots and take hold of the business of the business, there wouldn't be as many stars or spots. Even in 2019 - with WWE at its most maniacally micromanaged - this exists at the top of the Women's Division. Ronda Rousey's fast-track relit Becky Lynch's "straight fire", which in turn reminded Charlotte Flair that being 'The Queen' of the division wasn't a given. Now all three look likely to headline WrestleMania. Historic for sure and likely to be overtly-promoted as such, but still based entirely on merit.

It'd be easy to assume that (take a breath) Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Triple H has learned from his time as a talent what he believes works well, but he was so often a student, saviour, teacher and traitor at the same time during his own run that much of what makes him tick was probably already installed.

That he's established all four of those traits in one stable - mirroring much of what made his own gang great over a decade ago - would be encouraging enough without considering how far removed the men in question were from the WWE he took hold of in 2010...
