Reports this weekend claim that Hulk Hogan could be set for an appearance on Raw's 25th anniversary show in January (via WON).

The 64-year-old has not appeared at a WWE event for over two years owing to the release of a controversial recording in which he appeared to express racist views.

There was even speculation that the company was taking steps to airbrush Hogan - who spent much of the 1980s in the role of headline act - from its history books.

But it is now claimed that they are prepared to give him a second chance, beginning with a cameo in the new year.

Despite their official stance, this wouldn't exactly be a huge shock. Triple H himself was quoted as saying, almost as soon as the initial media storm arose, that he felt bridges could eventually be mended.

The show celebrating a quarter-century of Monday Night Raw will emanate from both the Manhattan Center - which hosted the first ever broadcast in 1993 - and the Barclays Center.

A smattering of stars past and present are expected to be in attendance, including - in his first appearance since WrestleMania 33 - The Undertaker.

Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash are also scheduled to pop up on what will be the go-home edition of Raw ahead of the 2018 Royal Rumble.
