New champions, a club doused in championship glory, and Braun Strowman?

The build to IMPACT Wrestling's Bound For Glory has been largely enjoyable.

Most of its stories have fallen in the right place, there's genuine hype for the event, and major surprises are being teased, with at least one match guaranteeing a handful of these surprises, that being the annual Call Your Shot gauntlet match.

The six championship encounters vary in terms of potential quality. Christian Cage vs. Josh Alexander and Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mickie James for the World and Knockouts Titles, respectively, should be intense fights, while the two tag team title clashes - the Good Brothers vs. FinJuice vs. Bullet Club and Decay vs. the IInspiration - could also be entertaining bouts to take both doubles divisions in a new era.

It feels almost like a changing of the guard for the Anthem-helmed promotion. Reflecting on last year's Bound For Glory pay-per-view compared to this year's is a tantalising subject. Rich Swann, for example, main-evented last year, and is now an entrant in the Call Your Shot gauntlet match. Times change, and with each IMPACT pay-per-view that passes, that statement always comes out.

It all begins on the Countdown To Glory pre-show...

10. Jordynne Grace Is The Inaugural Digital Media Champion

The Digital Media Title has made for curious discourse within the IMPACT Wrestling lore thus far.

Initially starting out with a bit of intrigue and mystery surrounding it, it now feels as if the company doesn't want to acknowledge the title as a legitimate championship. Its don't receive the same GIF treatment on Twitter that canon IMPACT programming does, which, granted, could be due to it releasing on various platforms at different stages, but regardless, it needs to be treated with a bit more respect before it can be taken seriously.

The perfect first champion to help guide the title in this direction is Jordynne Grace. She's an experienced champion in IMPACT, having previously held both the Knockouts and Knockouts Tag Team Titles, so she's a solid hand to begin the lineage.

There are stories out there to suggest either a Tenille Dashwood or John Skyler victory, too, but they simply wouldn't serve well as the inaugural champion, regardless of how well Tenille's influencer character would work as the literal champion of digital media champions. She can be the second champion, the third champion, or whatever.

For the first, Jordynne is the way to go.
