Initial WWE NXT Report On Vince McMahon And Bruce Prichard False
The plot thickens when it comes to WWE NXT's new direction...
Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard will NOT be directly producing WWE NXT going forward, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Talk of Vinnie Mac and Prichard taking hold of the once-black and gold (soon to be paint splattered) brand reins has been doing rounds for the better part of a week, with Wrestling Observer Live even going as far as to state that the duo would oversee the show from September 14 onwards; that show, which will see Indi Hartwell getting married to Dexter Lumis, is seen as the first real step in this new direction.
However, the Observer Newsletter has now noted that those initial claims may not be entirely true. In the wake of a meeting WWE held with talent and other employees, it is said that everyone present was informed that McMahon and Prichard would not actually be directly producing the developmental product. Simply put, the two have too much on their plate already and adding another weekly live TV show to the mix would be too much to ask.
That's not to say the boss still won't have a say on the new overall direction of NXT - he is still the WWE Chairman, after all - but in terms of weekly booking and day-to-day operations, it looks like Tuesday nights aren't set to be shook up too much.
