It looks like this injured AEW worker won't be launching a comeback any time soon.

Fightful are reporting that it looks unlikely fans will see Jake Atlas on AEW programming again any time soon.

The former NXT man was on a paid-per-appearance deal with the promotion, and that was "paused" when he was struck down by a nasty torn ACL injury in January - that tear happened during Jake's first major AEW match vs. Adam Cole on the 7 January episode of Rampage.

For the record, Cole beat Atlas following a well-worked 10-minute scrap that painted the ex-WWE star in a very good light. Annoyingly for All Elite, that positive press then turned negative when Jake was arrested following a domestic dispute in May.

It's unclear whether or not that had any huge bearing on his exit from the company, but one thing is obvious: Atlas won't be launching a comeback on Dynamite, Rampage or AEW pay-per-view.

Tony Khan didn't have to reach settlement terms with the wrestler due to that aforementioned per-appearance deal Jake was working. So, both parties can go their separate ways without even really meeting to discuss things.

Atlas' entire AEW run lasted two matches; one against Cole and an earlier bout vs. Serpentico on Dark: Elevation.
