News of CM Punk's imminent AEW comeback has thus far failed to spark ticket sales for the promotion's upcoming Collision shows.

Collision, a new Saturday night brand, debuts in Punk's native Chicago, IL on 17 June. Thus far, this appears to be the only market in which Punk's name is shifting tickets.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that although Punk has been "moving tickets in Chicago," this isn't the case elsewhere. Toronto, Ontario, Canada, considered amongst the strongest pro wrestling markets in North America, has seen less than 2,000 tickets sold for the 19,800-capacity Scotiabank Arena (currently set up for 3,445 tickets).

Regina and Saskatchewan had previously been identified as tough markets. Meltzer noted that Rampage and Dynamite tapings scheduled for Edmonton on 5 July will likely do well, though Collision's Calgary show on 15 July is struggling. A Collision taping set for Hamilton on 29 June has sold just 700 seats so far.

WrestleTix states that AEW has currently sold around 8,000 tickets for the aforementioned Chicago date:-

Punk was announced as featuring on Collision during last week's episode of Dynamite. The former World Champion will return to AEW for the first time since All Out 2022, where his infamous media scrum appearance preceded a backstage fight with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, leading to indefinite suspensions for the involved parties.
