Oh brother.

When Hulk Hogan left WWE in July of 2014, he was a very broken man. He was beaten up physically and was embarrassingly fired when video of him saying some horribly racist things went viral. The company wanted to wash their hands of him, so he was effectively given the Big Boot.

Now, Hogan is a very rich man. At least financially. Last year he reached a settlement of $31 million in his lawsuit against Gawker. And now, he may be able to repair his damaged legacy with a potential return to WWE.

According to The Wrestling Observer, there have been talks within the company of bringing him back into the fold. Nothing is confirmed yet, as upper-management likely wants to figure out how much negative mainstream publicity this move could bring them.

It seems that it was only a matter of time before Hogan returned to WWE in some form. The company seemed to be warming up to the idea over the past few months, as his likeness was no longer edited out of promotional videos. Due to his place in wrestling history and his continuing popularity, he is simply too big of a name for them to ignore forever.
