Dwayne Johnson announced on Tuesday that Vince Vaughn - who most recently portrayed villain Frank Semyon in season two of HBO's True Detective - has joined the cast of the upcoming film Fighting With My Family.

The film, based on the Channel 4 documentary The Wrestlers: Fighting With My Family, focuses on the real-life story of the Knights, a family of Norwich based wrestlers who run their own promotion and compete throughout the UK. The daughter of the family, Saraya, currently competes in WWE as Paige.

Vaughn's role is currently unknown, but Johnson - who is executive producing the film with his Seven Bucks Productions partner Dany Garcia and acting in it - offered a bit of a tease. He described Vaughn's character as a well-known wrestler from the '80s "who squandered his money and opportunities because he didn't have the capacity to handle his fame." However, he did go on to say that the wrestler in question is now contributing to the industry in a positive manner.

Let's put all our cards on the table and guess he might be portraying Jake Roberts. Just who else could this description fit?

Vaughn joins a cast already consisting of "Game of Thrones'" Lena Headey (who will play Julia "Sweet Saraya" Knight), frequent Simon Pegg collaborator Nick Frost (as Ricky Knight), Florence Pugh (as Paige), and Jack Lowden (as Zak Knight).

Stephen Merchant will write, direct, and produce the film.
