Jade Cargill's Opponent For 30th AEW Match REVEALED
TBS Champion rejects easier match for bigger challenge against former MMA fighter.
Jade Cargill's latest opponent has been locked in, but it came after the TBS Champion dismissed her attorney's initial selection for her next challenger.
Cargill, sporting an impressive 29-0 record, has been making a big to-do of her presumptive 30th win, discussing various aspects of her celebration, but was dismissive about who her opponent would be... until AEW Dynamite on Wednesday.
Smart Mark Sterling said he had chosen The Librarian Leva Bates as Jade's challenger, but Cargill looked at her and quickly nixed the idea, sending the wrestler on her way. She demanded a tougher opponent, so Sterling went with plan B: Marina Shafir. The former MMA fighter and ex-NXT star has been competing and making a name for herself on Dark and Dark: Elevation recently, though she hasn't gotten the #AllElite treatment yet.

Shafir would certainly pose a more serious threat to Cargill than The Librarian, but it's highly unlikely The Problem will be able to take the TBS title. The date for the match has not yet been announced, though it was not taped Wednesday for AEW Rampage on Friday.
