Last night's AEW Dynamite closed on an unfortunate mistake, as veteran announcer Jim Ross accidentally referred to the show as "WWE Dynamite" while wrapping things up.

"Tickets are available at AEWtix.com," he said, hyping the promotion's upcoming shows. "Folks, there's nothing in your life that will top see a live WWE Dynamite."

Ross has since taken ownership of the commentary botch, refusing to make excuses for what happened:-

Still, JR faced considerable levels of backlash online, with the situation likely made worse by the fact that this wasn't his first slip-up in the AEW announce booth.

The error came after an emotional show-closing video packaging highlight AEW's biggest and best moments inside Daily's Place over the past 15 months. AEW paid tribute to an arena that became their home base throughout the pandemic, running through everything from Jon Moxley's World Title reign and the TNT Title's inauguration to the tragic passing of Brodie Lee, bringing the fans in the building to their feet as the night was rounded off.

Ross has been with AEW since April 2019, when it was announced he'd signed a three-year deal as an announcer and advisor.
