John Cena has said that he's hoping for an imminent Stone Cold Steve Austin return to the WWE. The comments were made to The Rakyat Post, during a press conference WWE hosted as part of its current Malaysian tour. Cena did not deny rumours of Austin's return and said that it would be a "dream" match for him to work. He wouldn't rule out Austin vs Cena ever happening. €œI hope that his return to the ring is imminent. He has been training really hard and is in great shape,€ the 15 time WWE Champion said. This will add more fuel to the speculation that Steve Austin could be gearing up for one last match. Close confidants of Austin, such as Jim Ross, have denied the possibility of a return. However, WWE are going into increased production of Austin merchandise and the man himself commented that he was getting into shape. It's encouraging to hear John Cena mention what great condition The Rattlesnake is in. The current WWE star also said that Austin was training really hard. These are all factors that might suggest a comeback is at least possible. As for the chances of Cena vs Austin, it is something that WWE might be keen on. The business that Cena did with The Rock in recent years was massive, so it would make sense to put another Attitude Era star against this era's star. Austin would also be in contention to face either Brock Lesnar or Triple H, potential matches that he has himself talked about in the past.
