'The Champ's impending appearance was rumoured over the weekend and confirmed on last night's WWE Backstage, leading many to speculate that 'Big Match John' will be involved in something that would contribute to what he may be doing - if anything - at this year's WrestleMania.

Cena was a riot on last year's 'Show Of Shows', dusting off his old 'Doctor Of Thuganomics' persona to verbally eviscerate Elias in one of the latter half of the lengthy event's biggest moments. Since the end of 2018, he's taken on a part-time schedule, working only eight matches in 2019 with none of those coming on pay-per-view.

Since losing the WWE Championship to Bray Wyatt in 2017's Elimination Chamber main event, he's been almost entirely absent from the title picture he once dominated, competing in a televised Championship match only once since then.

Will this just be another enjoyable cameo for WWE's latest Hollywood crossover star, or could Cena be using this return for something more significant? February 28th should provide the answers.
