As the dust starts to settle on yet another shocking batch of WWE releases, Braun Strowman, Lana and Buddy Murphy have taken to Twitter to make their first post-WWE comments.

Strowman, Lana and Murphy were alongside Aleister Black, Santana Garrett and Ruby Riott in being let go by WWE earlier today. Black and Garrett have already posted their on thoughts and thanks on social media, and Liv Morgan was quick to rightly proclaim how whichever promotion ends up with Heidi Lovelace (Riott's pre-WWE mantle) on their roster is extremely fortunate.

Despite the company bringing in record revenue and turning huge profits, this is the third group of WWE releases in the space of less than two months. 15 April saw nine superstars released, which was followed up in May by another ten talents being fired – in addition to other names like Andrade, Lars Sullivan and Steve Cutler being released earlier in the year.

Due to the sheer number of wrestlers released already in 2021, some are speculating that this could all be part of a larger plan to get WWE primed and ready to be sold. That remains purely rumour and innuendo at this point in time, of course.
