Whether or not new signing Saraya wrestlers for All Elite Wrestling will be determined by Dr. Michael Sampson.
This is per Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online Daily Update column. AEW's company doctor will determine what the former Paige is able to do physically, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise.
Saraya debuted for AEW at last Wednesday's Grand Slam tapings in New York City. Hitting the ring following a four-way bout between Toni Storm, Serena Deeb, Britt Baker, Athena, interrupting the heels' beatdown of the babyfaces following Jamie Hayter's non-turn, she commanded an incredible crowd reaction, having made a completely unforeseen arrival.
The 30-year-old departed WWE following her contract's expiration in July, having been part of the company's system since 2011. A formative figure in a pre-Revolution women's division, she unfortunately hasn't wrestled since December 2017, when a recurrence of a serious neck injury she had undergone surgery for in October 2016 eventually forced her into retirement.
WWE slotted Paige into a number of roles post-retirement, including SmackDown General Manager and Backstage co-host.
Saraya is due to appear on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite. Fingers crossed this provides the answers.
