You've got to respect the hustle, and Lio Rush is all about trying to create a buzz for himself these days.

The former WWE and AEW star has been active on social media in recent weeks, posting images of himself and current WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley and then publishing a two-minute hype video on Sunday.

Friday, Rush upped the ante when he posted an image of himself at GCW's The WRLD on GCW event with "8.22.22" scrawled on the photo. August 22nd is Monday, which of course is the day Raw airs.

First signed with WWE in 2017, Rush competed in NXT before being promoted to the main roster as Lashley's manager. He would return to NXT in 2019, where he won the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. Rush was released from WWE in April 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic along with droves of other talent. He briefly resurfaced in AEW in 2021, but his contract expired in February 2022.

Lio sustained a serious injury in January's PWG Battle of Los Angeles and hasn't wrestled since then.

All of these social media posts could be serious clues to Rush's wrestling future, or it could be a worker working. We'll just have to tune into Raw to see if the Man of the Hour makes his return. Considering the wrestlers who have made there way back to WWE during the past month - Karrion Kross & Scarlett, Hit Row, Dakota Kai and Dexter Lumis - it's only fair to give some credence to these rumors.
