Having not wrestled since an extremely brief Dynamite match in October, it appears the return of Rey Fenix is imminent.

As picked up on by WrestlingNews.co, this past weekend's House of Glory show saw Penta El Zero Miedo challenge his brother Fenix to a match at HOG's Cinco de Mayo event on 5 May.

For Rey Fenix, he's been out of action since dropping the International Title to Orange Cassidy in barely five minutes back in October.

The injury to Fenix actually dates back prior to that Cassidy match, with the Death Triangle man aggravating an old injury during his AEW International Title victory over Jon Moxley at Grand Slam back in September. Of course, that was the match that saw an audible called after Mox suffered a concussion.

In terms of specifics, Rey Fenix has only referred to this injury as an old one which was worse than he originally believed. So much so, the Lucha Bros. flyer labelled the injury as the "worst" of his career. While the talent hasn't specified what the injury is, though, Dave Metlzer speculated that it was Fenix's back, hip, or both.

Thankfully, it appears that whatever this issue is, it's either healed up or soon to be healed up, with Rey Fenix vs. Penta El Zero Miedo on the horizon in two months' time.

Fenix isn't the only Death Triangle member set to return to action imminently, with last night's AEW Revolution airing a vignette heralding the return of PAC.
