Major Return Confirmed For This Week's WWE SmackDown?
SmackDown's FOX debut could be blessed with a big-time return.
The Usos look set to return to WWE television for this Friday's SmackDown season premiere on FOX.
This is according to Wrestling Inc., whose sources state that Jimmy and Jey will play a role in the blue brand's relaunch on Friday evening, though there's currently no word on how they will be brought back.
The Usos have been absent from WWE programming since Raw's 29 July episode, where they lost a Raw Tag Team Championship Triple Threat to The OC's Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, with The Revival also involved. This came just four days after Jimmy had been arrested for a DUI in Pensacola, Florida.
Still one of the most decorated and exciting tag teams in modern WWE history, The Usos' return should be a huge boon to either main roster brand's struggling division, though their long-term direction won't become clear until the 2019 WWE Draft concludes on the 14 October episode of Raw.
The Usos' last title reign concluded on 9 April, when they dropped the SmackDown Tag Team Championships to the Hardy Boyz. They're always a fixture around the belts, so it's safe to assume they'll receive a decent push upon returning.
