WWE pulled the trigger on splitting the duo up on last night's Raw, with their latest loss prompting Styles to turn on his partner after a few weeks of tension.

Styles and Omos appeared on Miz TV relatively early in the show. The host acted like a gossip merchant in the segment, playing a game of he said/she said to try and sow further discontent between the former Raw Tag Team Champions. This was eventually interrupted by another tandem who have teased tension lately, Dominik and Rey Mysterio, who emerged for their planned match with Styles and Omos.

The babyfaces won in around two minutes, with Styles eating a schoolboy roll-up pin after Omos had turned away from an attempted tag. Enraged, AJ said Omos was a "piece of trash" after the bell, then leapt upon the giant after being shoved. A Phenomenal Forearm was blocked, Omos hit a press slam, then told AJ the next time he saw him, it'd be in a match.

Said match has now been booked for next week's Raw.

This follows several weeks of discontent between Styles and Omos on Raw. In October, it was reported that WWE had previously considered splitting the duo in the 2021 Draft, though this was scrapped when it was decided Omos wasn't ready for a singles push.

AJ and Omos had been together since the latter left his role as Raw Underground's doorman in October 2020. The duo peaked at WrestleMania 37, defeating The New Day to become Raw Tag Team Champions, then holding the belts for 133 days.
