During last night's 'Broken Rules' match at the All Out PPV, Matt Hardy took a seriously brutal accidental bump on the concrete.

Hardy was attempting to Side Effect Sammy Guevara off the top of a scissor lift and through some tables, but when the former reversed the move and nailed the 'BROKEN' one with a spear the match took a turn for the worst. After his head bounced off the concrete floor, Hardy was temporarily knocked out and struggled to find his balance once he came to.

This gave referee Aubrey Edwards no choice but to initially stop the match. However, the encounter was later restarted and Hardy eventually came away with the victory after tossing Guevara off some scaffolding.

In the wake of this difficult to watch battle, Hardy was quickly escorted to hospital and his wife Reby Hardy took to Twitter to denounce the company. She tweeted, 'Shame on everyone in that goddamn building.'

AEW President Tony Khan later provided an update on the veteran's condition, confirming that Hardy was indeed okay after the controversial contest. He also added that the doctor would not have allowed the contest to continue if he didn't think Matt could safely carry on, saying, 'I never would have went against the doctor’s decision, and most importantly, Matt would not have been able to overrule the doctor’s decision – Not with the doctor himself or with me.'
