The long-running saga of Veer Mahaan's return to mainstream WWE television looks set to conclude on 4 April, with the promotion confirming the former Indus Sher man's comeback for the Raw after WrestleMania 38.

Though Mahaan has been active on Main Event lately, racking up a winning streak, vignettes promoting his return have been a Raw staple since October 2021. "Veer is coming" became a meme within a few months of the videos airing without a live Raw appearance from the 33-year-old.

Now, the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reports that WWE is making changes to Veer's original character.

There is currently no word on what, exactly, these character tweaks will entail. Mahaan wasn't heavily gimmicked at the time of his Raw hiatus, having served as one of Jinder Mahal's heavies alongside Shanky before being separated from the duo in October's draft. Within a few weeks, Veer's vignettes started airing on Raw - and here we are today.

A former professional baseball player with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Veer has been under WWE contract since signing a developmental deal in January 2018. His initial run came as part of Indus Sher alongside Saurav Gurjar, commencing in March 2020. That tandem had split by the following May, with Veer repackaged and sent to Raw alongside Shanky and Mahal.
