Mixed Tag Match Signed For WrestleMania 33
John Cena and Nikki Bella to take on The Miz and Maryse.
After a few weeks of drama, the match has finally been signed - by the ruling of Smackdown general manager Daniel Bryan, John Cena and Nikki Bella will take on The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33.
The feud started on two fronts a few weeks ago. First, Bella was competing in a falls count anywhere match against Natalya on Smackdown Live when the bout spilled to the backstage area and Bella was thrown into Maryse. The competitors fought their way back to the ring, but Maryse attacked Bella with a lead pipe, helping Natalya pick up the win.
Later that evening, both Miz and Cena participated in a 10-man battle royal to determine who would challenge WWE Champion Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 33. Cena eliminated Miz during the course of the match, but the angry six-time Intercontinental Champion dove back in the ring and threw Cena out, ending the superstar's WrestleMania championship ambitions.
Since then, Miz and Maryse have been taking shots at Cena and Bella, leading to an episode of Miz TV on Tuesday where the four met in the ring. After some tough talking, Bryan came out and declared that since so many people want to punch Miz in the face, he was going to give Cena and Bella the opportunity in Orlando.
WrestleMania 33 airs live on the WWE Network on Sunday, April 2 at 7:00 PM.
