MJF Tweets (And Deletes) Criticism And Dangers Of Modern Wrestling
AEW World Heavyweight Champion offers some strong views on the current state of things.
MJF passed on an extremely serious message about wrestler wellbeing on Twitter last night.
The AEW World Heavyweight Champion offered some thoughts on the inherent risks of stepping between the ropes in a since-deleted tweet that read;
"The more wrestling fans become blood thirsty for these dangerous feats in the ring. The more the wrestlers will hurt themselves trying to curry fans favor. wrestlers, The fans don't understand that at any given point we can be paralyzed from the neck down or even die from a maneuver as simple as a body slam. By the way fans reading this, bodyslams hurt, every move hurts. They will keep moving the goal post of what they deem is "good". So before you do something stupid. Consider this, there tweet about your "banger" gonna pay for your medical bills? Do the right thing. Go in that ring with the intention of winning the match and leaving the ring the same way you entered it."
The tweet follows a reply along the same lines from over the weekend that described in detail all the risks he could take but chooses not to. There, he said;
I can literally do the komander rope walk. A 450. A Fosbury flop. An acia moonsault. A Phoenix splash. A tope. All the !*$% that doesn’t win you a match.

The 'Salt Of The Earth' is currently embroiled in a feud with his fellow "Four Pillars" of All Elite Wrestling, Darby Allin, Jungle Boy Jack Perry and Sammy Guevara. Allin and Guevara are set to wrestle on tonight's Dynamite to confirm a number one contender for AEW Double Or Nothing on May 28th, though it's expected that all three will end up opposing the champion.
