A 2009 arrest may keep him out of the company for a few months.

Moose (Quinn Ojinnaka) is one of the hottest free agents in wrestling today. After his contract with Ring of Honor expired, he received offers from Lucha Underground and TNA, but was widely believed to be starting with NXT in the fall. Those plans now seem to be delayed.

The Wrestling Observer has reported that due to a 2009 incident where Moose was arrested for simple battery has caused WWE to wait on signing him. Normally this wouldn't be that big of a deal, since the incident in question was over seven years ago (Moose ended up serving a one game NFL suspension for it). However, with the recent bad publicity of Adam Rose and Jerry Lawler seeing jail time, they don't want to open themselves up for more scrutiny at the moment.

In the long run, Moose is still very likely to join the company when the news dies down a bit. He could go back to Ring of Honor in the meantime, or accept the reported $100,000 a year contract TNA is rumored to have offered, but if he wants to make the big money, it may be wisest to wait. After spending a couple years in ROH, Moose has improved by quite a bit, and he has the look and charisma that likely will lead to a nice push in NXT/WWE whenever he does show up.

The biggest question now is, how long will Moose have to wait to be hired?
