New Details On Brodie Lee Jr.'s AEW Contract
Amanda Huber offers key information on -1's new deal with All Elite Wrestling.
News that Brodie Lee Jr. had been signed to an All Elite Wrestling contract was broken by Tony Schiavone on the legendary announcer's What Happened When podcast last week, with the eight-year-old seemingly joining the promotion upon coming of age.
The contract came following the tragic death of -1's father, Brodie Lee, who passed away on 26 December. Jon Huber's widow, Amanda, has now hit Instagram with clarification on the terms of her son's contract with AEW.
Amanda's post states the following:-
1) His contract with AEW is valid on his 18th birthday *if* he chooses to wrestle. Nobody is going to push it with him. If you were to spend 10 minutes talking to him you’d understand why they gave him a contract though.
2) School is number one for him.
3) He is not seriously training at the moment or will be taking bookings or anything ridiculous right now.
Huber also thanked WWE's Tyson Kidd and Natalya for letting Brodie Jr. work out in their ring, as well as Liv Morgan, who can be seen training with the wrestling hopeful in the attached video clip.
The 30 December episode of AEW Dynamite was transformed into a gutwrenching but ultimately uplifting tribute to Brodie, whose son appeared multiple times throughout the night, culminating with him being presented with his dad's old TNT Championship belt for life.
