New Stipulation Added To Seth Rollins Vs The Fiend At WWE Crown Jewel 2019
Universal Title match WILL have a winner this time...
WWE have announced that the Universal Championship Falls Count Anywhere match between Seth Rollins and The Fiend Bray Wyatt at October 31st's Crown Jewel event "can't be stopped for any reason". They've even included it on the graphic.
The news broke during Michael Cole and Corey Graves' rundown of the Saudi Arabia card during last night's edition of SmackDown on Fox. Confirming again that Rollins had been removed from Team Hogan, the pair also noted the add-on to the battle for the belt.
Almost definitely a response to the desperately disappointing conclusion to their Hell In A Cell clash last month, WWE have again steered into the kayfabe reasoning of the referee's stoppage being what ruined the match. As they probably should - "we won't be cowards with the booking this time" probably wouldn't do much for the sagging credibility of Champion, Challenger and company.
The stakes remain high for both men in what should be a final battle between the two, if only because of the future of the red strap currently slung over Seth's shoulder. A loss here would see the Universal Championship migrate to SmackDown with Bray Wyatt and Raw without a Championship. Defeat for the challenger would mark his televised record at a decidedly un-Fiendish 1-1-1.
