New WWE NXT Release Confirmed
Rachael Ellering was amongst WWE's 15 April releases.
Rachael Ellering was amongst WWE's Black Wednesday releases on 15 April, as confirmed by the wrestler herself.
Ellering, who has also wrestled for WWE as Rachael Evers, tweeted the following on Wednesday night:-
As reported in Black Wednesday's aftermath, an untold number of NXT and Performance Center releases weren't publicly announced on 15 April. Ellering was amongst that number.
The daughter of former Road Warriors/Authors of Pain manager Paul, Ellering officially signed with WWE in January 2019, having made streams of freelance appearances for the company's black-and-gold brand and in the MYC previously.
Disaster struck before she was able to make her televised debut. Rachael suffered a torn ACL while competing on a July 2019 house show and has been away from the ring ever since, preventing her from getting going in the world's biggest promotion.
Ellering's partner, Kassius Ohno, was also amongst WWE's 15 April releases.
A torn ACL is a tough injury to come back from though Ellering is just 27 years old and packed with potential. Here's hoping she's able to forge a successful career outwith WWE, though the ongoing global health crisis puts her and her fellow released wrestlers in a tough spot.
