News On Why WWE's Bruce Prichard Gets To Keep His Podcast

Wrestling Observer Radio has revealed the reason why Bruce Prichard gets to keep his 'Something To Wrestle With' podcast on the air despite WWE clamping down on others for third party projects.
According to the report, it's because Prichard is a contracted employee of the company. Meanwhile, most actual wrestlers are classed as "independent contractors"; office staff are treated differently, and Bruce managed to include the weekly show with Conrad Thompson as part of his deal when he agreed to return.
The only thing Vince McMahon requested was that Prichard refrains from speaking about modern-day WWE on his pod. If he was willing to do that and focus exclusively on retro content, then the boss didn't have a problem with it.
Such news won't satisfy those who think this reeks of double standards.
Zelina Vega was recently released for failing to see eye-to-eye with WWE on third party work. It won't sit well with some that Raw and SmackDown's Executive Director is allowed to do things that the talent aren't.
On the plus side, it's great that Bruce's podcast will continue. That'd be a huge loss for nostalgia buffs everywhere.
