New Japan Pro Wrestling has been forced to cancel their Road to Power Struggle show in Nagano's Nagano Sports Park Gymnasium on Friday, 18 October as a direct result of Typhoon Hagibis.

Though ostensibly a series of house shows building up to the Power Struggle pay-per-view on 3 November, the tour is set to feature this year's Super Junior Tag League. There's currently no word on whether or not the matches originally set for 18 October will be rearranged for different shows, though one would think so, given that it was supposed to have several tournament bouts.

Typhoon Hagibis had a detrimental impact on yesterday's King of Pro-Wrestling pay-per-view. Jon Moxley was forced to vacate the IWGP United States Championship when travel issues prevented him from making the show, with Suzuki-gun's Zack Sabre Jr. also missing from the card amidst several concerns. This forced the promotion into a number of big changes and even announcer Kevin Kelly was affected - the former WWE man only reached the arena 10 minutes before bell-time.

The worst typhoon to hit Japan in years, Hagibis has already claimed 53 lives.
