Not Even Brock Lesnar's Return Can Help WWE Raw Ratings
The numbers remain steady overall.
The second WWE RAW episode of the brave new era saw a slight dip in ratings on the back of Brock Lesnar's first WWE TV appearance since WrestleMania 32. The show, which also featured a big singles match between Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn, received an average of 3.314million sets of eyes. This is slightly down from the previous week's average of 3.338million.
The third hour of RAW continues to struggle, and the return of Lesnar and Paul Heyman to WWE TV didn't change this. Hour one once again topped the chart, bringing in 3.463m viewers. This dropped slightly for the second hour, which gained 3.399m, before a big drop for the final hour which only drew in 3.081m viewers.
The overall rating of 2.3 is pretty steady in truth, but WWE must be disappointed with the numbers considering the one week hype of Lesnar's return and the fact that there was no political convention airing as competition for the first time in weeks.
RAW reverted back to its old mundane form somewhat this week, and the next few weeks will show us whether the first episode of the new era was an anomaly as opposed to real change.
