NXT 2.0 Standout Primed For WWE Main Roster Call-Up "ASAP"
One of NXT 2.0's biggest and best will be main roster-bound imminently.
Solo Sikoa will be called up from NXT 2.0 to WWE's main roster imminently.
On 1 July, Fightful Select broke the news that Sikoa, 29, had at least been discussed for a future transition from developmental to either Raw or SmackDown. Previously, the promotion had even considered having the former independent wrestler completely bypass NXT upon signing. But the call-up now appears to be on the horizon, with the outlet stating on Thursday that Solo was being primed for the move.
Elsewhere, PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that Sikoa is to be called up "ASAP", potentially hitting the big time sometime this month. One of Johnson's WWE sources claims that Solo will be joining the SmackDown roster.
This would make a lot of sense, given his familial connections on WWE's Friday night show. A son of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos are his brothers and he is a cousin of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, giving him some easy storyline material to slide into should the promotion go down that route.
Sikoa has been with WWE since 2021 and has stood out as one of the most complete, well-rounded NXT 2.0 wrestlers since the brand's inception that September.
