When World Wrestling Entertainment announced that the brand split was to return and RAW and SmackDown would once again become two separate entities, one of the immediate questions to be asked was what this meant for NXT.

Since evolving from a glorified gameshow into WWE's own hardcore wrestling fan wet dream developmental super indy promotion, NXT has been far and away WWE's most consistent product, and has developed a cult following, if the word 'cult' can be applied to anything in the WWE Universe.

A lot of this love is focused on the roster of the developmental brand, and the latest Wrestling Observer suggests that we should be prepared to embrace a completely new NXT roster. Many have speculated that WWE could be moving swathes of talent from NXT to RAW and SmackDown, and the Observer says that this is indeed going to happen.

It is believed that the call-ups aren't going to happen in drips and drabs either, and this explains with WWE has been aggressively pursuing talent from outside the company. Current NXT stars are to head up to the main roster to provide the depth needed to sustain two shows, and NXT is to be populated by a variety of new signings and performance center graduates.

In short, don't expect to see many more Shinsuke Nakamura matches on NXT.
