Paige Considering MMA Career After She Leaves WWE
She's not on Raw at the moment, but Paige is gearing up for a hectic 2017.
Paige and Alberto Del Rio couldn't keep out of the headlines last year, and the trend continues in 2017.
The 24-year-old is still recovering from neck surgery and hasn't appeared on Raw since June, but released footage of herself training some basic MMA mat work with Alberto Del Rio over the weekend:-
Del Rio appeared on this week's MMA Hour in his role as President of the Combate Americas MMA promotion, and spoke openly on the topic of Paige switching sports. He stated that while there have been some talks, Paige would need to be granted her WWE release, then wait for full clearance following her neck surgery, which is still several months away.
The couple then compounded the speculation in a new interview with TMZ Sports, where Paige added that she may get involved with MMA after her WWE career is over:-
On top of this, news broke earlier this week that The Rock was set to play a role in a film based on Paige's family story. It was also revealed last night that the movie will also feature Game Of Thrones star Lena Headey and Shaun Of The Dead's Nick Frost, and is inspired by Fighting With My Family, a 2012 documentary following the Bevis family's roots in wrestling.
