Paul Heyman was interviewed on Chael Sonnen's "You're Welcome" podcast this week and when he was asked about that rumoured Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar, Heyman replied by saying that there's a "zero chance" of the match happening. To Sonnen's credit, he kept on pushing about the subject with Heyman adding that there are a plethora of reasons why it wouldn't happen, although he didn't go into specifics. The biggest reason is likely because Austin hasn't had a match since 2003 due to a serious neck injury. While a lot of people assumed Heyman was just setting up Austin to deliver that fired up promo at the end, Heyman said that he legitimately surprised Austin by mentioning it and that he only did it because if the Rattlesnake was considering a match then Heyman would want it to be against Lesnar. Sonnen said that since WrestleMania 32 is in Texas that Austin has to be involved in some way and Heyman agreed although that doesn't mean it has to be a match. Heyman tried to end that part of the conversation by mentioning that Austin killing the rumor of one more match on his own podcast that it's probably not going to happen.
