At the start of July, then-NXT tag team champions The Street Profits made their first appearance on the main roster, appearing in a series of Monday Night Raw skits which have persisted ever since.

Notably, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford have yet to make their in-ring debut, and even had the unusual honour of explaining the rules of this week's 'Tag Team Turmoil' without participating themselves.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE doesn't want the team to debut until the two are properly over with the crowd. As such, they've thus far been entirely restricted to backstage segments designed to highlight their characters.

This is also the reason the Street Profits didn't feature in the Tag Team Turmoil themselves, as they would have had to lose in a very short match.

Obviously, it does raise the question of why the two were chosen to introduce the concept, but it's probably best not to think too hard about it.

Based on WWE's record of getting their performers over lately, the Street Profits are scheduled to make their in-ring Raw debut at some point in the next 100 years.
