A fine year for Impact Wrestling, but which star was the cream of the crop?

2020 will go down in history for not only the professional wrestling industry, but the world as a whole. Regarding the former, Impact Wrestling managed to not only survive throughout the crisis, but do so while producing a consistent quality of weekly programming.

That said, the events of the ongoing global health crisis greatly altered the rankings for this sort of article. For example, Tessa Blanchard, despite making history as the company's first female World Champion, ended up stranded in Mexico and eventually leaving, and never appeared on a single empty arena event. Had she come back, she would have certainly ranked a tad higher than her final position.

Impact's booking this year has been decent, for the most part. They've failed in places that were easily avoidable, sure, but they've also managed to get so many others in the spots they deserve to be placed in. The mass signings they conducted on the back of WWE's Black Wednesday releases weren't done just to have these names under contract - they've all slotted into the Impact product rather nicely.

In order to determine this list, wrestlers were based not only on their in-ring performances this year, but also on stories they were involved in, championships, pushes, and overall presentation within Impact Wrestling.

Let's get to it...

68. Joey Ryan

Rechristening himself as Joseph P. Ryan and debuting the disastrous Cancel Culture stable with Rob Van Dam, Katie Forbes, and Jacob Crist, Ryan found himself released from Impact Wrestling in June, having been accused of sexual abuse, misconduct, harassment, and assault during the #SpeakingOut movement.
