Not only can WWE celebrate the overwhelming positive response the company received following the debut episode of the "New Era" of Monday Night Raw, but the promotion can also rejoice in the fact that the show enjoyed a decent bump in the ratings.

No doubt driven by the interest in the brand split and exclusive roster, as well as the momentum created by the fantastic Battleground event, an average of 3.339 million viewers tuned in to the July 25th episode to see what the launch of the new Raw had in store.

Here's the hourly breakdown:

9:00 PM - 3.350 million

10:00 PM - 3.254 million

As has been the trend for years, the third hour continues to see a drop in the audience, but that's simply not going to change when you take into account the percentage of the fan base that consists of younger viewers.

The number was up from last week's average of 3.133 million, which, while not a staggering improvement by any means, is a definite positive sign for the company.

Now the objective is to take that momentum built by the changes to the previously stagnant show, the exclusive roster and new main event talent and not only maintain those numbers but continue to improve upon them.

If the immediate feedback is any indication, fans are currently willing to be optimistic about the new direction and see how it plays out.
