QT Marshall held talks with WWE about a producers role before agreeing to make his AEW return. The wrestler told WrestleBinge that the "freedom" offered by Tony Khan played a big part in his decision to launch an All Elite return.

Khan will let QT do his own thing on the independent scene in between AEW dates. That's huge for Marshall, because he wants to actively wrestle as much as possible and knows he wouldn't have been able to juggle indy dates on WWE's payroll.

Further, QT wasn't really too interested in exclusively becoming a producer anyway. He's dreamed about working for WWE since he was eight years old, but as a wrestler not behind the scenes. Following talks, he decided to say 'thanks but no thanks' and return to AEW instead.

Marshall is "sure" he would've received a concrete job offer from WWE had he pursued it. One meeting with Tony in late-December/early-January (QT didn't pin down an exact date) changed his mind on everything though. He elected to become #AllElite again afterwards.

QT also pointed out that WWE's schedule would've been full-on for "less money".
