Adam Cole has had quite the 2022 for All Elite Wrestling, but he's apparently been wrestling hurt.

Fightful Select reports that Cole "has been banged up for quite a while," dealing with several injuries. Most notably, Cole reportedly has had a labrum injury since his AEW World Championship program with Hangman Adam Page, which ended in April. Since then, Cole has competed in -- and won -- the inaugural Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament.

However, AEW sources have told Fightful that Cole was working through those injuries during the title program and tournament. There hasn't been any confirmation as to the extent of the damage.

Cole hasn't competed since defeating Samoa Joe at Double or Nothing to win the tournament. He initially was scheduled to wrestle as part of a 10-man tag match after the PPV, but he was replaced by Hikuleo. There's no word on whether Cole will end up on the shelf or if he'll just rehab and get back to action soon.

Muddling things, Cole appeared on Dynamite Wednesday to confront Hangman Page and staked his claim for a shot against the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

It hasn't been a good time for top-level AEW wrestlers and injuries lately, with World Champion CM Punk Bryan Danielson sustaining injuries recently as well.
