Report: Chris Jericho's New AEW Deal Is "Biggest Contract Of His Life"
Chris Jericho's new three-year AEW deal is the most lucrative of his long wrestling career.
News that Chris Jericho had signed a new three-year contract with All Elite Wrestling broke earlier this week - and it sounds like the deal is the most lucrative of the Canadian's 32-year career.
Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while specific figures haven't been made available, Jericho was previously on a £3 million/year deal with AEW and that he got what was likely a "good raise" fellow negotiations. Now, the former World Champion is working on the "biggest contract of his life."
A new deal rather than an extension to his previous contract, Jericho's new terms bind him to AEW through January 2026. This is despite the initial release stating December 2025.
Interestingly, Meltzer notes that WWE had previously held the expectation that Jericho would return to the market-leading promotion for one last run and a Hall Of Fame induction once his AEW contract expired. If that is going to happen now, it'll have to come after January 2026.
Jericho was a day-one AEW signing. Introduced at the promotion's launch press conference in January 2019, he later became the first AEW World Champion, defeating 'Hangman' Adam Page at All Out.
