Report: Eddie Kingston & Santana Almost Got Physical Over Ortiz AEW Falling-Out

Konnan has this week gone into new detail on Ortiz and Santana's reported falling-out in All Elite Wrestling, claiming that things almost got physical between the latter and Eddie Kingston, a long-time cohort of the duo.
July saw Konnan confirm whispers that Santana and Ortiz were no longer on the same page in the promotion. Per the former WCW, AAA, and TNA star on his Keepin' It 100 podcast, the tenured tag team were "not on good terms."
Now, during a new K100 episode, Konnan has described the situation as "heartbreaking", mentioning Kingston's involvement (h/t WrestlingNews.co):-
"It breaks my heart because I spent a lot of time with them and I've said before that they're like my sons. I heard it almost got physical with Santana and Kingston over this. It's not a good look, bro. I really hate seeing that these two guys who could have gone to WWE and really fu**ing blown up, that they separated."
Satana has been off television since mid-July, when he was ruled out for 8-12 months after suffering a suspected ACL injury during AEW's sophomore Blood & Guts match. Ortiz has remained on television since then. The tandem have worked only two traditional two-on-two tags in 2022, the last of which took place in February.
Continuing, Konnan said that while both Santana and Ortiz admitted AEW wasn't doing a lot with them, they had different mindsets towards the situation:-
"I can see Santana when his contract is up, leaving. Ortiz is very chill and laid back. Santana is more of a hot head. Ortiz's was like, 'Hey, they ain't doing sh*t with us', and Santana's like, 'They ain't doing sh*t with us', and he's right. Ortiz is more like 'We're getting paid and are taken care of', and he was comfortable in his role and Santana wants more."
Santana and Ortiz have been a tag team since 2011, having competed under a number of guises pre-AEW, including EYFBO on the independent scene and as the new LAX in IMPACT Wrestling. There, they worked extensively with Konnan and Kingston, including a memorable 2018 feud pitting them against LAX originals Hernandez and Homicide.
Three months have passed since Santana last tweeted, doing so while reports were coming thick and fast:-

Whether or not he will return to AEW remains unclear.
