Hurricane Ian has made WWE "very worried" about this Friday's episode of SmackDown, reports Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Although SmackDown is due to be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada tomorrow (30 September), many WWE personnel are located in central Florida, which has felt the brunt of the hurricane. The situation presents obvious travel-related difficulties, but WWE is hopeful people will be able to travel to Winnipeg from Tampa and Orlando.

Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida at around 15:05 PM ET on Wednesday. Peaking as a Category 4 storm with winds nearing 150 MPH, it left 2.4 million homes and businesses without power in the state.

WWE has already postponed a couple of NXT house shows and closed its Performance Center due to the hurricane.

The promotion has announced Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa vs. Ricochet and Madcap Moss, Hit Row vs. Los Lotharios, and Bayley vs. Shotzi Blackheart for SmackDown. Sikoa and Zayn were also paired together on this week's episode of Raw, where WWE used social media to engineer a singles match between Sami and Monday night regular AJ Styles.

Zayn is, of course, fresh off becoming an 'Honorary Uce' in an acclaimed segment last week.
