Fightful Select reports that under its new regime, the market-leading promotion has offered Austin the chance to come back and wrestle another match. Although disgraced former Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon had wanted to make this a reality, the new team has gone as far as putting an offer together, though there's no word on whether or not it'll actually happen.

While sources presumed the offer would be for 'Stone Cold' to compete at WrestleMania 39 next year, there is no way of being sure if it was for 2023's 'Show of Shows' or perhaps a Saudi Arabian event.

Another source, meanwhile, stated that at least initially, Austin and WWE were "far apart on terms."

Recent footage of Austin, 57, working out and appearing to be in great shape recently raised hopes of another big comeback for the legend. Now, with this report, the WrestleMania rumour mill is sure to intensify.
