Report: WWE Source "Scared To Death" By Planned Royal Rumble 2021 Finish
WWE may be planning something crazy for the men's Royal Rumble 2021 finish...
WWE Royal Rumble 2021 is now just days away, with the signature January pay-per-view going down in the ThunderDome this Sunday, 31 January, and with the field of potential winners wide open, a new report suggests WWE might be planning something nutty for the finish.
WrestleVotes reported the following on Tuesday, citing a WWE source "scared to death" by one of the promotion's current ideas:-
What this could mean is anyone's guess ('The Fiend' burning the entire Tropicana Field down to stop Randy Orton from making it to the ring, creating a state-wide emergency in the process, perhaps?) but it sounds loopy. Here's hoping that it doesn't involve anything that may put the health and safety of the wrestlers at risk.
18 wrestlers have been confirmed for the men's Rumble so far, with Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, Edge, and Randy Orton the most notable. Sky Bet currently has Bryan down as the favourite at 1/1, with Edge (5/2), Brock Lesnar (7/1), Keith Lee (7/1), and Big E (8/1) trailing him. This will likely change as the event draws closer.
Last year's men's Rumble winner, Drew McIntyre, defends his WWE Championship against Goldberg on the card.
