Report: WWE's Madison Square Garden Ticket Sales Are "Not Good"
WWE's upcoming MSG tickets aren't shifting like anticipated.
News that WWE planned on holiday Raw and SmackDown TV tapings in New York City's historic Madison Square Garden for the first time in 10 years broke earlier this month, with tickets going on general public sale last Friday (19 July) at 10am.
Unfortunately, it sounds like ticket sales are struggling - despite the building's importance as WWE's spiritual home.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that sales have been "not good," though he wasn't able to bring any specific numbers to the table (said information wouldn't necessarily be available to him). Neither show has sold-out despite WWE assuming that Raw tickets would be gone within minutes of going on sale, and the promotion are said to be "exceedingly disappointed" by this.
It's worth noting that the NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard at MSG sold out just 19 minutes after going on sale last summer.

One would expect that these shows will eventually sell out. Still, that WWE have failed to do so thus far must be pretty embarrassing, particularly when considering the G1 Supercard's business success.
